Ambition Snowskates

Our vision

Ambition Snowskates is fully decicated to snowskating. Our main objective is to develop the sport by continuously exposing the legitimate side of snowskating, often unknown by skateboarders, snowboarders and retailers. By organizing events such as demos and competitions, distributing videos and catalogs, installing snowskate parks and sponsoring the world's best snowskaters, Ambition promotes the sport worldwide. Most importantly, Ambition pushes the potential of snowskating year after year with an unmatched, high quality product line.

History

2004/05 – Ambition Snowskates (originally called Ambition Snowskate Apparel) was founded in Sherbrooke, Quebec by Alexandre Blais in 2004. Our goal was simple: help the snowskate market grow by offering snowskate-specific products to riders. The company put most of its efforts towards its apparel line. Success was immediate, most probably because our team already consisted of the world's best snowskaters. All the profits were used to promote snowskating by installing a snowskate park at Orford ski resort in 2005. That same year, Ambition organized the first ever snowskate competition held in Quebec on January 4th, the Winter Snowskate Fest, where riders from all around North America gathered to battle it off for first prize.

2005/06 – In 05/06, Ambition started carrying a more diverse product line: new t-shirts, hoodies, zip-ups, longsleeves and accessories were sold on our online shop. Many of the biggest snowskate competitions, such as the Winter X-Games in Aspen, Colorado, were won by our team riders. These results reinforced the image of the company, and soon Ambition would aspire to much greater things. Unsatisfied with the quality of snowskates available on the market, Alex started to get interested in board production. A lot of research went down on skateboard and snowboard fabrication methods to later apply them to snowskates. The first Ambition snowskate prototype was built in March 2006.

2006/07 – The 06/07 season was more of a transition period from the well-known Ambition Snowskate Apparel to the Ambition Snowskates we know today. It appeared to some that Ambition Snowskates was dead as updates were very rare on the website and only a limited amount of products was for sale, but in reality, a lot had been brewing in the background. We met many snowboard and skateboard manufacturers and discussed the eventuality of a quality snowskate production in Quebec. Board production started to set up for the upcoming season and numerous hours of work were put into products advancements.

2007/08 – 07/08 was truly a turning point for the company. The previous years had paid off, as Ambition finally introduced a high quality snowskate to the market. Durability and performance were our two main objectives and it's safe to say that we definately made it happen. Riders from all around the globe purchased our products and the positive response we recieved motivated us to work on the following year's line.

2008/09 – 08/09 was all about getting the word out. Ambition had a solid first season and we knew the future had more to offer. With the objective of producing the first legit snowskating video, the Ambition team traveled around North America all season long. On the way, our top riders stopped at every major snowskate competitions, where they took home all the honors. A year of surprises, as Ambition's sales tripled from the 2008 to 2009 season. The overwhelming demand indicated it was time for a change, and Ambition decided to open up it's own local manufacture in order to increase our production capacity.

2009/10 – With six years behind us, we stay true to our vision: the production of quality snowskates worthy of the sport's potential. Our hard work has taken us a long way from where we began, and the tremendous response from our worldwide customers only motivates us to keep pushing the sport. The 09/10 season marks a new begining for Ambition, as we have now extended our production to our own independant snowskate factory located in Quebec, Canada. Not only do we now stand fully capable of responding to the evergrowing demand for our boards, but have also taken our product developpment to an all-time high.

As a result, we've enlarged our products line to greater variety of models, ranging from carbon-tech pro models to price-point woods, and lots of new apparel and accessories. Last but not least, we are proud to present our first full-length video: True Color. A film about the people and moments that will forever redefine single level snowskating. True Color captures the mind-blowing talent of these snowskaters like never seen before, the way we've always envisioned it.

Ambition Snowskates welcomes you to the redefinition of snowskating.
