Ambition Trip 2009 - Part 1

January 20, 2009 by Alex Blais

We're finally back from the trip, and let me say it has been the most exciting snowskating week of our lives. We knew that regrouping such talented individuals would be memorable, but the trip turned out to be a big step forward for the sport.

Team America first gathered up in Burlington, VT, and spent the first few days riding Nick and Crow's favourite hometown spots. Already, big trick were thrown down and lots of footage was getting piled up. On Monday the 5th, the Ambition van crossed the borders and drove right up to Montreal.

Welcome to Montreal Phil.

Roby and COSD getting ready.

Team riders united, our first stop was the Montreal Skate Plaza. Although the 3 inches of ice covering the whole park were discouraging at first, the sunshine got everyone pumped to snowskate and with hard work, all the run-ups and landings were cleared within an hour.

The Skate Plaza.

Crow loves Montreal.

Justin - Getting ready to shoot.

Roby - Some double set fun.

While everyone was riding ice, Charlo had something else in mind...

Alan - Enjoying the show.

Justin getting warmed up.

Roby Gobeil

Phil - Taking it easy on his knee for the first day.

COSD - Gaping from the streets into the plaza.

COSD - Huge ollie on his gap.

Roby joins the fun - Bs shove.

Gerlach - Bs Crooks

All in all, our first day turned out great, mostly because everyone was stoked to ride together. From that point on, we knew it would be an historic week.

Part 2 coming soon...
