Poppin on a late Night
As I am writing this we are crossing the bridge that separates USA from Canada. It is called the Sault of Ste-Marie (oldest town in the midwest, founded in 1668!). This ends a week of snowskating in the Midwest; from Minneapolis to Rapid Rivers. It was a good one.
Long story short, we've been snowskating since the first day of 2012. The snow situation has been quite a problem, we won't lie, but Alan, Roby and I have came through pretty good nonetheless. In the last three days of our Minneapolis snowskate adventure, we were accompanied by Derek McFadden. He showed us some of the spots he liked, and we rode them. I could say more but let's just say we had lots of fun and filmed some clips.

On the morning of January 6th, we completed our packing process and embarked on what would be a rather long journey back to Roby and I's headquarters; Montreal. Our first spot on the way there was a locally run snowpark in Dunn County, Wisconsin. The setup was cool, but very limited. A trip back once winter is in full swing is definitely in order. We played some yoyo, bought some snacks, sung some raps and took short naps. 300 miles later we were out of Wisconsin and in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan; home to the Ocean Spray skatesnow team and our talented host, Chancellor Hughey.

Danny Bergeron, Zack Alworden and Chance welcomed us at around midnight. Less than half an hour later we were snowskating at a spot in Escanaba. Good times for sure; but we were all pretty tired and called it quits early on in order to be fully rested for the following day. We were to go ride in the quiet town of Munising. We had a blast there and skated till it was past dark. After a day of snowskating, we bade farewell to our friends Zack and Danny as we went back to Chancellor's place for a night of rap freestyles. It was a great night and we are truly thankful to Chancellor for letting us stay with him and showing us his sick skillz. The land above the bridge rocks!

Next stop: Barrie, Ontario. We stayed at my grandma's. Being reunited with some of our friends from GTA (Jaimie Cybulski and Jensen Fisker) was rad to say the least. We skated two great spots in two great days. On the first day there, we rode some big park area called Midland (if you live in or around the area, be sure to ride there). On that night, after spaghetti at my grandmas (thanks!), we went to Jensen's cottage in Wasaga and had a fun night playing funny games. The last day before driving back to Montreal was improvised but amazing nonetheless; we ended up riding at some abandoned house in the middle of nowhere and got some beautiful footage out of it. Be sure to keep an eye to the sky for that stuff!

On the 11th we drove back home where the next leg of our trip would commence; tearing up our own home-province with our homey Alan!
Fun times indeed!
