that board sounds pretty damn long and fairly thin. even on a skateboard i ride about a 7.75.

is it possible to make it shorter or does it still ride nice as is?

*has never ridden a danger girl*

I had a blue danger girl for one season, It was the best snowskate I ever had than it got stolen by a fu*** anyway, my bro still own his since 2002 and it rides as well as when we bought it. I would definitely buy another one. This snowskate is just perfect for frontboard shuv-it out or 3-flip.

The more I watch COSD the more I think a Danger Girl (and eventually the Ambition COSD plastic) will be good for me. Not only do a I prefer thin decks when I skateboard, but I actually kinda specialize in flip tricks a bit. The board has flex, but I rarely boardslide, I mostly do 50-50s and 5-0s, so that wouldn't be an issue. The only problem I see arising is the length. 38 inches is pretty damn long. I'm ordering an old Danger Girl to try out this season. If I like it I'll definitely pick up a COSD Pro Model plastic next year.

Plastic is an acquired taste. I agree, they're a bit long and narrow. They're great boards, but the biggest problem (like all plastics) is that they lose their pop after about a month or so. The grip that comes with them is good as well.

i disagree about the grip. most plastics have TERRIBLE grip. thats the reason why we have companies like Xtreme grip and FS grip

Often, when we talk about plastics on here, we talk about the real plastic snowskates. Real plastics are the ones that were made in before 2002. Everything that was made in 2003 + (in terms of plastic) is extremly crappy.

The grip on the old plastics was pretty awesome. You could ride it with skate shoes and it was all good. Absolutely no need for FS or X-treme on them.

bah i was going to buy a danger girl but it disappeared from the shop i was going to buy it from >.>

looks like i'll just have to wait for the ambition COSD plastic to get a feel for it.

also will adding that stuff to the board add much weight? i'm a little worried about the added stuff effecting flip trick performance.

The grip on the plastic boards is perfect as it is (Always talking about 2002 and under like danger girl). Adding some x-treme would be completly useless.

Adding X-treme to woods does help some. I know I can't ride a Premier without it. As for Ambitions, I have a board with X-treme and one without it and the only difference I see is weight so I actually never used the x-tremed one.
