sorry, i should i have specified.

i meant adding the layer of fiberglass and the UHMW base.

i'm not sure how much they weigh relative to HDPE.

i'm sure you'd have any flip issues worked out before releasing it to the public.

if you and COSD test it i'm sure it'll be fine.

i'm just really looking forward to this board and i want it to hit my expectations. XD

Sorry for my confusion.

UHMW is the same weight as HDPE and fiberglass weight nothing. It would end up being the same weight since we wouldn't use as much HDPE for the core. It would end being the same thickness with the UHMW added.

Anyway, this model is not for next season. Next season, we're going with the regular design which has made it's proof enough. We may add a fiberglass layer but I think we'll just start off with the good old design.

sounds good to me either way.

i hear they lose pop really fast though, so if you don't put in the fiberglass is there anyway to help to board keep it's shape?

Fiberglass would help but honnestly, the basic design is very good.

I used to think it did loose it's pop very fast, but Charlo rides some alot and they still have a good shape. Doing flatland tricks indoors will ruin it fast, but outside, HDPE stiffens up and doesn't loose it's shape so much. We will surely try out the fiberglass though, but I feel that if you ride correctly, it'll last you a long time.

You guys probably all know Charles-Olivier Simard, the greatest plastic snowskater ever...

Ambition is currently looking into producing a pro model for Charles next season, wich would be a plastic deck.
Boards would be more advanced than the old 2002 plastic.. But they would have the same feel.

How many of you could be interested in purchasing his board if it was around 60$ CAD?

ohyah for sure, im gonna buy alot of snowskate/ skateboard stuff this year and i wanna have a reliable plastic backup board

Hey Alex. I was thinking today and ambi does really need a cheaper plastic model. It's really hard to convince my friends, who I've introduced to the sport, to shell out 120 for a board they have barely riden on. If I pressure them enough they will go get another plastic from premier.

So I hope you've been working on ambi's plastic deck because it could be a big factor to increasing the size of the sport. Plus, even if you sell a cheaper plastic it builds brand loyalty and someday they might be willing to shell out 120 for a great wood deck.

Just my thoughts.
i'm devon evans, peace.

You are 100% right man, and we're actually close to being done setuping our plastic snowskate production in our factory for next season. I'm glad we agree on the need of a price point snowskate.

Exactly my thoughts too, was coming to this thread to say the same thing, but you said it for me :]. Having a plastic board will help ambition, most beginners probably won't pay $120 for their first board
