HomeMade Fish Eye Lens

Postby slips89 on Sun Jun 06, 2010 10:58 pm

Well, I spent my rainy Sunday inside making a fish eye lens(Peephole/Foam), and this is what I came up with. It doesn't work very well because when I zoom in it blurs up. I messed with the manual settings and everything, but I couldn't get it to work. If anyone has made one before or has got some tips on how to improve quality, shoot.

Ah, but I don't want to be spending like $30+ on a fish eye... Plus I don't even think there is a fish eye for the Canon SX 20 IS.
Edit: Maybe this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3551wt_820

DIY fish eye lens, is poor, why not buy a fish eye lens?

I just spend $39.99 +shipping $12.00 to buy a 52mm 0.25x Wide Fisheye Fish Eye with12.5x Macro Angle lens

I don't think that will fit on the Canon SX 20 IS.

Yeah that's basically what I ended up doing. I got one off ebay, and wrapped it in foam. Then, I stuck it in my lens hood and screwed it on. Works pretty nice if I do say so myself . :ugeek:

I have a small budget to get one. I need to ship it at 2846 Cessna Drive, USA.
Shipping from U.S. to Trinidad is now easier than before.
