Pretty sure the reason they don't want single decks is cause you "don't have good control" over the board. Plus, like you said, too many ppl think they are toys.

mountains require metal edges and leashes. if you can get on a mountain w/ a flatdeck make sure you have a good leash. runaway boards will be the end to resort snowskating. get yourself a good doubledeck for the mountain. either a circuit or a ralston. that is what gerlach does, he is on the homepage of snowskaters.net on a ralston.

I think he ride around the mountain on the bi-deck then shred a single obstacle with his single deck.

why would you cruise the mountain with two skates when you can get it done with one good double deck?
