Photos from one of the Chicago media on hand. I'll send out the newspaper stories to all contestants in the next week. Thanks to all the competitors who showed up. The fans and media loved you guys.

Official results and more photos on the website. If anyone uses the photos all that the photographers ask if for proper credit. Looks like Feb 7, 2009 will be next years date. I'm going to add a extra class next year. It'll be called the Insane Big Air Contest. Start aiming for the moon.

I forgot to throw a shout-out to the 2008 event poster designer Eric Schleicher. Eric did a great job with the city skyline backdrop to the skate park. Well done, Eric. Hope I can count on him for 2009?

I am positive because some people even asked to buy them. They probably just used them the entire time and no one even knew they were demo boards.

Their were only 2 demo decks. I wasn't there, so maybe Phil didn't take them out or something for any reason. I'm pretty sure he did because he told me some riders used them for the competition and wanted to buy them.

There were a couple of demo boards out there. Both were being used by young children, (6 to 8 years old) as their parents came to watch the event. They were using the boards by the bowl area. I know one young kids mom - who mentioned to me her pleasure in seeing her son get away from the TV for a couple hours!
