It's simply a protective layer we put on each base so that it remains perfect during the production process. It is only peeled off right before the boards are cleaned off and shrink wrapped.

Here's a quick snap I shot of some boards awaiting the finishing process. And that's just a small portion of what we have in stock right now.

Big changes coming soon, real soon...

So what makes the New boards new?

Every thing sounds the same. Is there a defferent process that they go through?

Are most all the differences just size or colors.

Do any of the boards have carbon fiber technology? Is the alan gerlach pro board still going to be offered this season?

I guess what am asking is If I were to buy a team board like the stance, What are the differences between it and the signature series Josh Seguin board and do all the boards very in their special way?

The features are very similar, but the process they go through is completly different. We've invested in high tech equipment never before adapted to the snowskate industry and all these differences add up and in the end and result in boards that perform and last much longer. Also, extra care is taken to make sure our production is very controled and precise, so that every skate come out perfect.

It's hard to explain, but the difference is huge. I really feel this year's models are a huge step beyond what we've done in the past, and I'm stoked about that.

No boards feature the carbon this year because it didn't make as much of a difference as we expected. The 7 ply wood boards have prooven to perform as well as we all expect, so we stuck with what's best.

Alan has a pro model and it is 34.5'' x 9''. Slightly shorter than last year, because he felt he wanted a board he could ride everything with.

In the end yes, the major differences from a model to another is the size and colors. Pro boards have the added middle groove and die-cut base.
