Id try waxing it, did you leave it inside and then go out? That can make a difference. But usually not enough to slow it down that much. It may be defective but i dont understand how because it was just the Gerlach's plastic they got that was defective.

I got it this morning at like 3 took it inside to admire it, put it in my car dove to my house like20 min away ate dinner then went outside. The bottom feels real rough though

That is very strange, I do not reckon team board defect bases. Send me an e-mail if you haven't already.

only issue i can think it could be is when you leave your board inside where it is warm, the base will become warm. when you take it outside into the cold cold air sometimes it wont slide as fast until the base becomes colder. however, its never as bad as you described. I recon you may have got a defect unfortunately. Email Alex and he will take care of you.
