@ snowsk8ter30 - I HIGHLY reccomend getting getting 70mm orangatang 4presidents if you want a wheel for bombing hills. the 65mm fat frees are great for sliding around and going sideways (Which i'm sure is why your getting them since your interested in orangatang and you've seen James Kelly and Kyle chin's videos?) If you want to slide around the fat frees will be great. If you want to be able to grip a line or want a better wheel for carving/cruising, get the 70mm 4presidents. But you have the sector9 race wheels which are awesome for bombing hills so maybe get the fat frees to mix it up a bit. Sorry if i confused you ha
All 8mm (standard size) skateboard bearings fit all wheels and all 8mm (standard size) trucks. You'll have no problem with bearings at all, but if you don't have any yet, i *HIGHLY* suggest getting bearing spacers (http://longboardskater.com/mm5/merchant ... ry_Code=H0) they go in between your bearings inside of your wheel, make your bearings last longer, and make slides and overall riding better.

@Domk - If you like going sideways definitely checkout the fsm. It's got rocker in the center of the board which makes it easier to slide and everything. but if you have the money for a nemesis definitely grab that. It's great for.. Well everything haha. (Except gripping hard turns at high speeds..) Every Fullbag board I've ever stood on (Elise especially) Is sick, great boards and they're built really nice.

No pics of road rash as of now, didn't take any when it first happened, but it's bad haha.

And to make this relevant, here's my buddy Caleb, I'm buttboarding while holding the camera haha: http://www.vimeo.com/12053275

Hmm maybe your kingpin isn't seated well in your pivot cup, or maybe your deck is just warped, or maybe its a defect then I would suggest you E-Mailing Thunder or going back to the skateshop.

Bearings don't really matter in downhill, as long as they spin at least a little bit they're fine, I'm using.. Uhmm. I don't really know. I have 4 sets of wheels that I switch out depending on the course and they all have bearings and spacers in them already and they're all random bearings. But I use orange orangatang inheats, pink bigzigz, blue cult gamma rays, venom sidewinders, and red center set sector9 race formula. Lately I've been using the orangatangs a lot, they have a decent slide and decent grip.

Story time: yesterday I was going about 40mph down my favorite mountain road. When trying to pass my friend I rode on the yellow lines splitting the lanes. When all of the sudden my board starting freaking out and I lost control and got pitched off. Slid for about 30ft. Was only wearing a helmet, gloves, shorts, tshirt. I lost most of the skin on my arms. And hve road rash all over my knees, hips, shoulders, back, hands, feet. You name it I can't barely walk or move at all haha. The center line on this road is raised a little so it's banked a tiny bit on both sides which is what cought my wheels and threw me into mad speed wobbles. Lesson learned: don't ever ride the center lines on roads.

If you want to pick up a sector 9 board for downhill, WAIT FOR THE NEW RACE SERIES! Seriously, I was hangin out with the sector 9 crew at buffalo bil downhill a few weeks ago, and the new boards that are coming out are soooo sick. Most 10" trucks should be fine. Gullwing chargers are probably what your getting, I personally hate them. But maybe buy some red venom barrel bushings and a longer kingpin and they'll be much better for downhill. Sector 9 race formula wheels are really rad. I'll probably pick up a set of the 69mm 82a sometime in the near future.

Domk, checkout comet and deity longboards. Comet is mch cheaper then rayne, and te concave feels much more natural in my opinion. I used to ride a comet voodoo xl and it was awesome. Deity's are just perfect. But if your set on rayne, grab a drop thru hellcat, or a nemesis. The nemesis is an awesome board for sure.

ok... so im about to order some red venom barrel bushings. what hardness should i get? the wheels i will have for it are 69mm 78a sector 9 race wheels and 65mm 86a fat free orangoutangs. i will probably order the 85a bushings

Quick TIP:If you want to not spend your weekend on the computer don't ride a Flex 3 vanguard past 50km/h without expecting to have road rashes all over your body and barely being able to walk.

Oh well its been raining the whole weekend anyways...

Put them in varsol for like 30mins, then put some low density oil, bones got an amazing oil made for berrings called speed cream, if you can get your hands on it use that.

DO NOT use wd40 on your skateboard tho, it attracts dirt and makes your berring roll worse.

ok so i took the bearings out and wiped them of with paper towels and that actually made a HUGE difference! the hill in my neighborhood is not to big but i can normally get up to 18-20 on it when i bomb it. before i cleaned my bearings today and only got up to about 10-14 then i came home cleaned my bearings and hit about 18-21! so it really did help! im going to my local skate shop tomorrow to see if they have speed cream. domk what board(s) do you have/use? also what wheels.
