Us Summer Open of Snowskating

Postby wolf on Sat Jan 22, 2011 2:21 pm

I am working with Windells summer camp to bring a contest to the scene the likes of which has never been done before. The event will be held fourth of July weekend at Mt Hood. There will be a rope tow for the course and more rails , fun boxes and jumps than you can handle. There will be both bi- deck and single deck divisions. It will be a one day event which will offer housing at the Windells campus. There will be a huge awards dinner and access to there amazing skate park. If this is something that interests you post a reply and lets make it happen. Peace- Andy Wolf

I work at HCSC in the summer so I will defiantly be there. Also forth of july weekend is between sessions so works out perfect for me. Would be so sick, Windells is where I first started snowskating.
Will it be possible to enter both single and bideck devisions? Because I would like to get down on both if possible.

Phil - Thanks for having my back. We are working to make this event over the top. I am currently talking with NBC and there producer at next adventure sport to cover the event. We are also looking a a possible legit event at the x-games next year. With the level of riding being were it is at and with a little help from Phil and Alex at Ambition to provide them a solid video I think we can make this happen. I just can't even say how stoked I am to see how far this little sport of ours has come. I have such huge respect for riders like Phil and Allen who have kept pushing it forward and companies like Ambition and Icon for keeping real. So happy to be back. Peace- Wolf

Ive been planning for this event since i heard about it. Is there a way to get more details, like closest camp ground, days we will have to skate not counting the comp, prices if any, and anything else that would be helpful. The reason I ask is because I am driving down from bellingham, wa and my other team riders are coming up from tahoe. So my hopes were to be as prepared as possible, so any info is helpful. I heard that the campgrounds around there fill up quick, wheres the best campsite to get reservations at? Times flying cant wait!
