grip issue

Postby Sitan14 on Mon Dec 26, 2011 6:25 am

Hello , I just got my snowskate today and I am able to do every skateboarding tricks that I know stationary except the ollie (in the snow) I can do it when I'm inside tought , also when I try to do a kickflip or a ollie while moving , the board just does'nt follow my feet so is it me doing something wrong or will it get better with xtreme grip ? as I said I can do every of those tricks stationary inside but it does now work outside in the snow

On carpet and in the snow are two completely different things. First off you'll have to get used to your board, since from my understanding you are just starting. Once you got more balance and control you will also get more pop, takes a couple sessions.

And second, if you don't have x-treme grip, you'll have to wear some kind of boots that provide good grip or else it'll be very very hard to do tricks. What shoes are you wearing?

Ultimately x-treme grip makes the experience way better, much worth investing in.

Thanks for your answer

I am using fallen skateboarding shoes , those one exactly : http://exoshop.com/fr/souliers/fallen-c ... /?b=fallen , also I praticed my balance a bit before trying to do tricks and I am balanced on my board when foot positioning for my kickflip , my board is poping but the flick that does the front foot just pass by the board and the board goes back to the ground.

That's because you are using skate shoes without x-treme grip. You'll need to wear boots or invest in x-treme. Usually people prefer skate shoes for the feel and flexibility, hence they get the x-treme. Boots are pretty good but still not as consistant from day to day.

snowskating i find requires a very different kind of balance then skateboarding....

ride your snowskate and get use to the balance.....

everything later will fall into place and come more naturally....

Alright , thanks for your answers guys , today I snowskated all day and I am now able to do a lot of tricks while moving like kickflip ,bs pop shovit , fs pop shovit , nollie fs pop shovit and almost heelflip (land on it with both feets but I cant get the board doing the whole flip) but I still cant ollie even stationary so I think I will invest in some xtreme grip.

Not to be mean but you shouldn't be snowskating stationary. Force your self to be riding the snowskate to do tricks.
